We work either on our own or with our partner organizations to tackle critical problems in four program areas.
Education Program
Our Education Program aims to facilitate and improve primary, secondary, high school higher education and also support vulnerable children not able to pursue education. We are working to reshape education and learning to be more equitable and accessible to those who need it the most – so every learner is prepared for success for future generations. With new approaches and priority funding expanding learning through school education, all young and adult learners can develop skills and knowledge for life in our changing world.
Development Program
Our Development Program is focused to help the poorest people lift themselves out of hunger and poverty. As and added measure, we undertake women empoerment projects for the greater benefit of equality. There are so many people not able to meet their two meals a day and those who suffer from chronic hunger. For these people, the basics of food, water, shelter, and sanitation are in short supply, and healthcare and education can be unaffordable luxuries. Our Development Program aims to identify and fund high-impact solutions that can help hundreds people lift themselves out of poverty and build better lives. We work closely with our partners to support innovative approaches and expand existing ones so they reach the people who are most in need.
Good Health Program
Our Health Program aims to harness advances in medicine and provide free or concessional medical services to the needy. We work with partners to deliver proven tools—including vaccines, drugs, and diagnostics— through periodical health check-up camps organized on-site to make heathcare affordable. Equally important is how we bring health programs such as eye check-up, blood donation, dialysis, etc. to those who need them most. We support the development and awareness of health solutions for family planning, nutrition, and maternal, child health, elderly and the disabled.
Environment Program
Our Environment Program is to promote awareness and undertake measures that will help us to conserve and protect our environment. The foundation’s aim is to protect and improve the environment. That said, we acknowledge that this is no longer a single issue agenda and that it must increasingly be addressed in the broader context for sustainable growth. freeee foundation’s Environment Program encompass the environmental, social and economic dimensions of sustainable deveoment. We undertake projects relating to protecting the environment, sowing seeds, promote afforestation and create awareness about protecting and sustaining the environment.
Our approach to identify, selection and execute specific
projects under each of the above programs emphasizes collaboration,
innovation, risk-taking, and, most importantly, results.
We identify challenges that people face and that can be tackled at grass root level. Our primary focus is in Northern India where we work to address issues of social inequity and poverty with specific focus on states of Maharashtra and Rajasthan, INDIA , where the Co-Chair family has lived for generations and the foundation makes its permanent home. We work with partners that can help to affect change and scale community service solutions to a local level.
We value partnerships, both as a funder as well as a grant-maker. As a foundation, we participate with the selected groups of donors in areas related to our four programs. As a grant-maker, we encourage our partners to work together to leverage our program strengths and resources.
The freeee foundation is a charitable
organization supported solely by voluntary contributions. Managed
by a Board of Trustees and trustee chair, freeee
foundation provides meaningful and
sustainable community service.
The freeee foundation is governed by a four-member Board of Trustees - Chandrabala Sharma, Hiralal Sharma, Rajlaxmi Acharya and Dr Laxmikant Acharya. An Advisory Panel also supports the foundation’s work on a range of grant-making issues. The members of Advisory Panel are appointed for a period of one year. Current members are:

Funding decisions are made by the Board of Trustees, either individually or as a group. While the Board of Trustees meets twice annually, grants and project spendings are considered on a rolling basis throughout the calendar year based on priorities determined by the Board of Trustees.
